I posted over in the official DNN forums about this also, but how would one go about getting the submenus in solpart to arrange horizontally? I'm not seeing a inline/xml or css attribute for this. Any workarounds?

Thanks!

I've not had much success with applying the solpart menu two times in that format - I know you are supposed to be able to set the levels to render, but you also have to then create a whole new set of classes to get it to view as you want.

The menu on this site uses the http://www.snapsis.com menu - which is a CSS based menu that renders in a nice fashion.  That's bascially a tab style menu and is part of the skincovered goodie bag for november - where I used the bling skin to create a top level and then a sub menu.

If you want to also explore the menu functions look at http://www.inventua.com top menu - and also you could consider using the links or breadcrumbs to create sub menus - since they can also be skinned reasonably well.

Let me know if this was any help for you. - I did see your post - I didn't have enough time to respond since I've been working alot of hours.. its' actually 4am here and I'm just going to catch a few hours sleep!

Thanks Nina,

Basically what I'm trying to do is replicate the behavior of the menus on a site like http://www.marquiscustomhomes.com/files/home.htm (yep, I know those are flash-based) where the submenu appears horizontally on mouseover... I would prefer to also be able to produce the "wipe" effect which I was assuming I could handle with DHTML controls similar to what's used in Solpart.

Thanks for your reply though, and GET SOME SLEEP!! :)

Hi Net, yeah I've been looking to do the same thing. I have a client that wants a top menu similar to: www.kayjewelers.com, there's another thread around here somewhere that I started, and you'll find some comments from one of Nina's guru-counterparts, may be worth reading.
